USB Memory Stick to hold data for fast missing person response

“Amber Stick” USB memory units are getting distributed by NH police at a cost of $16. The idea is to have a fast response system if a child is lost so that police can quickly distribute missing person info and even create a fast flyer for online distribution.

    A ‘high tech’ orientation may be advisable as many families are only able to locate holiday photos or portraits when a need for an Amber alert arises. Missing elderly persons are cases that often lack recent photos at all.

    I wonder ofcourse what will happen with missing key rings or the like? Will fake Amber alerts be issued by malevolent pickpockets or will thieves make use of the home address information?
