Missing Mill Valley woman is an Intelligence Agent for the IRS and was thought to have been armed. It would seem strange that anyone with a handgun could not signal for help in a hiking area. Official search suspended.

I’m always a bit concerned when they say the missing person was despondent, particularly when its a female who has just had a relationship end. It may be true that a relationship ended and it may indeed be true that its less than cheerful for her, but there too quick a tendancy to pronounce her despondent and mentally downgrade the mission from search to recovery. Yes she may be despondent and armed. Not a good combination. Not necessarily the situation though.

  2. FoolsGold says:

    Item NOT found.
Whatever object was seen or thought to have been seen by the two searchers has not been located by rangers who reached the scene.

  3. FoolsGold says:

Search continues with friends, relatives and volunteers.
Officials ended the primary search quite early due to persistent viewpoint that she was despondent over her boyfriend having moved out though her actions and text messages don’t really seem to prove despondency or deep depression.

  4. FoolsGold says:

Private search efforts organized by family and friends seem poorly handled. Family has asked for food, money, maps, flashlights, … and additional volunteers. There seems to be little feedback. More and better information was found on a Tampa Florida yelp site than on the search site at one point in time.

Initial focus on one area seems to have been unwise but not necessarily incorrect.

This ad-hoc search effort by well-meaning family members seems to be a desperate measure as exemplified by the two searchers who mistook a pile of leaves for a backpack.

  5. FoolsGold says:

Oh no!! A celebrity psychic is getting involved in the search.

  6. Arjen says:

Jeff Baker is flying in today and will help out on the search till Sunday (16 DEC). The search is still on, even though the officials have thrown the towel in the ring, for disputed reasons(if you ask me)

Anyone that can help come on and help te search.

Donations can be made in money or kind. They have received watered bottle and food for the searchers today and tomorrow but can use more funds and food.

Send out your good vibrations ~
